Fiscal Responsibility

It is crucial that we continue to carefully manage our finances properly. We will continue to take a 'pay as you go' attitude, avoiding debt if at all possible. We will continue to keep taxes low in Fruit Heights.

Community Identity

We will maintain the traditions of our community and work to make Fruit Heights an inclusive community so that everyone who lives here can feel they are part of the community.

US 89

We need to stay vigilant in working with the state to ensure that any improvements on that road are not done to the detriment of the residents of our community.

Community Advocacy

We will keep working with other government agencies to ensure our voices are heard.

Ethics and Transparency

We will exceed the law in providing openness in government, and will not tolerate lack of ethics in the governance of our city.

We are in the midst of difficult economy and an uncertain future. We will carefully move forward and conservatively make the decisions that affect our community.

My philosophy is to make the governmental process open and honest in our community. We need to work together as a team and recognize each other for what we offer to the process. Please give me a call if you have a problem or an issue. My job is to work to resolve community problems if at all possible.

Strategic Planning for Parks and Trails

We are working toward a detailed plan for improvement of the Baer Hollow to complement Nicholls Park. We have citizen's committee working with a open space consultant to develop this plan.

We are working to develop a trails plan for the entire city to link us together east and west, north and south.

Functional City Council

Our council works hard together. We may have differences of opinions at times, but are able to discuss with decorum and arrive at decisions that benefit the community.

The council is committed to putting the interest of the city ahead of everything else.

City Cemetery

We have a real need and desire to have a city cemetery in Fruit Heights. We recognize that this may be difficult to achieve, but we are trying to be as creative as possible to see if this can be done.

As this process moves forward we will solicit public comment and move slowly so we can ensure that the community is supportive of the plan we develop.
