No one person can claim responsibility for the success of our city. It is a effort by every member of the city council, planning commission, staff, and all other volunteers who help to make Fruit Heights a great place to live
Fiscal Responsibility
We maintain a conservative budget and are debt free. Fruit Heights has one of the lowest tax rates in Davis County.
Youth City Council
Youth City Council is a great service organization sponsored by the city. We encourage all high school aged youth to consider participating with this group. They work hard but have a great time serving in the community.
Excellent City Staff
The water flows and the toilets flush. We plow the streets whenever it snows. Our staff is lean and efficient. The do an outstanding job in keeping the roads in good repair, the parks sparkling, and water flowing. Our hats are off to our staff.
Community Advocacy
We have fought for community issues in areas such as the Country Road opening, and putting in a sound wall at the Park and Ride on 200 North.
Ethics and Transparency
We exceed the law in providing openness in government, and do not tolerate lack of ethics in the goverance of our city.

Green Waste Recycling
We are proud that Fruit Heights is the first city in Davis County to provide green waste recycling. It has been a great success and hope to see improvements over the next years.
We encourage everyone to participate in this program.

Community Identity
We have established a number of traditions in the community such as the 4th of July, Founder's day, and Easter egg hunt.
The Youth City Council does many civic projects during the year.

Emergency Planning
Our Citizen Corps Council is engaged and doing an excellent job developing our emergency plans for the city. They work with the LDS and Presbyterian churches in the community to prepare for emergencies that have and will hit our city.

Strategic Planning for Parks and Trails
We are working to complete a detailed master plan for our parks and trails in the city. In particular we are working with a landscape architecture firm to develop a trails plan for Nicholls Park and the Baer Creek Hollow to the north of the park.

Functional City Council
Our council works hard together. We may have differences of opinions at times, but are able to discuss with decorum and arrive at decisions that benefit the community.
The council is committed to putting the interest of the city ahead of everything else.

Cotton Candy Maker
Where else can you find a mayor who will make cotton candy for everyone at the Founder's Day Party?
